Boy, you watch the pros on television and they gently pop a 50 yard wedge within inches of the hole. Looks so simple, so very cool. Right?
Question: How many times have you practiced your 50 yard wedge shot today? Yesterday? Ever?

Well, when you have the opportunity to spend a few hours each week practicing with your wedge, here's an "option" my mentor and golf legend Ken Kenturi drilled into me: the perfect shot, a #5 punch.

If there is nothing between you and the hole but grass punch it to the pin with your 5 iron. Easy, safe, and with much less drama than what can happen with your wedge. And I don't mean that in a good way.

Try the perfect shot from the fairway to a green: punch it.

Enjoy the game again,
