So you're 5 feet from the hole, but your ball is buried in "US Open Approved" LONG grass. Sort of like a bird's nest. Phil Mickelson would try a fancy flop shot and, possibly get it those 5 feet. Phil, if you're reading this, go for it!
However, if you're not Phil Mickelson, here's a tip I picked up from Ken Venturi that works every time. I guess you could call it a "modified flop." Actually, it's an unusual chip.
Take a look. It's a little bit of Venturi magic.

I look forward to the video. Will this website (or FB) let us know about when we will be able to watch the 10 new episodes you’re filming? Thanks.
Charlie
Glad you like it and thanks for the nice words.
The new book and full length video are coming out in a week or so so stayed tuned for those. Leaving this morning to film the first 10 episodes of our TV/Web golf show on Hilton Head that we’ll also run thru the site, really neat.
If you Facebook, our page is under mirror image golf swing Lots of good stuff there too.

That is a unique shot. I, like many others, have never seen or read about that one.
Am looking forward to practicing it.
Also, just wanted to say ‘Thanks’ for all your videos. They’re fun to watch, simple to understand and easy to put into practice. They have been a BIG help in improving my game and, just as importantly, helping me to enjoy the game even more. Thanks for all you do. I appreciate it very much.
