Here's one of my most favorite quotes from Bobby Jones: "I get as much fun as the next man from whaling the ball as hard as I can and catching it squarely on the button. But from sad experience I learned not to try this in a round that meant anything."

I would humbly add, you will enjoy the game more if you just play the game you came with. Some days are better than others. If your driver isn't speaking to you just before your round, leave it in the bag. You love your 3 wood.

 Student Takes Tournament by 3!

Congrats (again) to my super junior Gil Lanoue from Belle River, Ontario.  He just played in a 2-day CJGA tournament in  London, Ontario and won, shooting 70-72.

I thought this photo was really neat, taken from my computer analysis of Gil’s swing.  On the right was from a year or so ago.  Gil was very laid off at the top and had some control problems.  On the left is a recent clip of him. You can see how perfectly down the line he is at the top now.  He’s gotten a lot bigger and stronger too in the last year.  Pretty neat! His swing improvements have led to his great golf this year.
