Some say that the easiest club to use in golf, and the easiest one to mess up with, is the pitching wedge. You can easily fly the green or clunk it in the sand bunker if you don't understand the mechanics and feel.
Good wedge play is key to your short game. You watch Phil Mickleson feather a pitch shot within inches of the hole and you gasp. He's that good. Why? because he uses his body, not just his arms, to get the ball in the air. Take a look at my wonderful student, Bill Slowe, make the perfect stroke.
