If there is one thing all golfers have in common here in southern Florida where I teach it's WIND. Twenty and 30 mph (about 32 kph to 48 kph) are pretty common, especially in the afternoon. That's definitely going to affect where your ball lands.
Now Tour pros fade or draw their balls into the wind. But most amateur golfers don't have that option. My mentor, golf great Ken Venturi, said to let the "wind be your friend." You know the wind is golg to move your ball. So play a straight shot a few yards away from your target, depending on the strength of the wind, and let the wind take it. A much easier way to get where you want to go.
