One of the biggest mistakes even low handicappers make is to fall into the habit of pulling the golf club around their bodies in the backswing. It looks like they are trying to hit the golf ball with a baseball swing. The resulting shots are just as ugly as the swing.

Think of your backswing like you were shooting an arrow in the backswing  If the bow (your club) goes all over the place you're not going to hit your target. When you get the club waist high it should be pointing straight back and the end of the handle should be pointing straight at your target.

Try it. The results -- a straight shot -- are immediate.
