Most amateur golfer don't swing as fast as, say, Rory Mcilroy (about 120-125 mph). The shafts he uses are very stiff. At least once a week one of my students asks if he or she (mostly the "he's") if they should be using stiffer shafts to get more distance off the tee, like Rory (average is 310+).
99.9% of the time (or more) the answer is "no".
Check out the video and find out why. The answer may surprise you.
Enjoy the game again,

P.S. Nice surprise for PRO members just around the corner. Stay tuned.

Off to the big PGA Golf Show in Orlando on Wednesday. It’s the largest trade show in the world and is amazing. Over 1,000 golf companies, 20,000 golf pros and 40,000 total people. I’ll see lots of old friends, attend some education seminars and go to the PGA Master Professional Luncheon on Friday which is always my favorite. I’m always proud to be with the group of professionals which only number about 200. I’ll take lots of pictures to post on the site and on the Mirror Image facebook page so watch for those.
